Thuja Green Giant Arborvitae is our best selling fast growing tree. Because of its disease resistance, Landscape Architects are using Thuja Green Giant Arborvitae more often in their designs. Hardy in zones 5 - 8. Thuja Green Giant grows 3 feet per year once established, but stays narrow for several years. Ultimately reaches 50 feet tall, 12' wide or can be sheared to desired height. Thuja Green Giant Arborvitae adapts to a variety of soil, likes full sun to partial shade.  Not as drought tolerant as Murray Cypress & Carolina Sapphire, and will require irrigation the first 2 or 3 years during hot dry times. Thujas bronze a bit in winter but green back beautifully in the spring.

Plant as close as 4' apart for a solid privay hedge.

Murray Cypress is FASTER GROWING than the regular Leyland Cypress ('Leighton Green'), has a DARKER GREEN color, and may be MORE RESISTANT to fungus. Murray Cypress is an evergreen tree hardy in zones 6 - 9, grows to 50 ft high, 12 ft wide. It grows better on more marginal sites than the regular Leyland Cypress. Plant as close as 6' for a solid privacy hedge.

Carolina Sapphire is the fastest growing evergreen we've seen for making a privacy screen! Faster growing than Leyland Cypress, the Carolina Sapphire adds 3' to 4' per year and will reach a height around 40 feet and 15 feet wide. Bluish in color and extremely aromatic.

Carolina Sapphire also does better in marginal soils than Leylands. Carolina Sapphire is hardy in zones 7 - 10. Plant as close as 6' apart for a privacy screen.

Like Carolina Sapphire, Blue Ice is a cultivar of Arizona Cypress.  It is more narrow and a bit slower growing than the Sapphire but features the most startling BLUE color of any southern conifer.  Drought tolerant and hardy in zones 7 - 10.  Plant as close as 5' - 6' apart for a privacy screen.
